Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Courtside Media LLC, doing business as PrepOne (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with prepone.app and the PrepOne service (the “Service”). We aim to collect as little as possible.

1. The short version

• Our website analytics are cookieless and privacy-first — no cross-site tracking, and no cookie-consent banner is required.
• To sign in, we store the email address you register for passwordless magic-link authentication.
• Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy as our Merchant of Record; we never receive or store your full payment-card details.
• We do not sell your personal information.

2. Website analytics (cookieless)

We use Umami, a privacy-focused, self-hosted analytics tool, to understand aggregate site usage (for example, which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors come from). Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personally identifiable information, and does not track you across other websites. Because no personal data is stored on your device for this purpose, no cookie-consent banner is required for our analytics. Metrics are aggregated and cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

3. Account information (magic-link sign-in)

The Service uses passwordless “magic-link” email authentication. When you sign in, we collect and store the email address you provide so we can send your one-time sign-in link and associate your account, settings, and content with you. We do not ask you to create or store a password. We use your email only to operate the Service (for example, sign-in links and essential service messages), not to build advertising profiles.

4. Content you upload

When you use the Service, you may upload rosters, depth charts, game notes, and similar source documents. We process and store these solely to generate and maintain your own charts and study materials. Your uploaded content is never shared publicly and is never used to build any other user's chart. We do not sell it.

5. Payment information

Paid plans, if offered to you, are sold and processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy collects and processes the payment information needed to complete your purchase (such as card details and billing data) under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number. We may receive limited, non-sensitive records of a transaction (for example, that a purchase occurred, a plan level, and a partial or tokenized reference) to manage your subscription.

6. How we use information

• to provide, maintain, and secure the Service;
• to authenticate you via magic-link sign-in;
• to process and manage subscriptions through our Merchant of Record;
• to understand aggregate, non-identifying site usage via cookieless analytics;
• to communicate essential service information and respond to your requests.

7. How information is shared

We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service — for example, our hosting provider, our email-delivery provider (for magic-link and essential messages), and Lemon Squeezy (for payments) — and only as needed for those functions. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of users. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

8. Data retention

We retain account information (your email) and uploaded content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated content by contacting us; we will delete or de-identify it except where we are required to retain records (for example, tax or transaction records held by our Merchant of Record).

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us at hello@prepone.app. We will respond consistent with applicable law.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
